THE TRUTH ABOUT BEER AND BEER BELLY-BOYS DONT MISS THIS ONE

Is there any beverage that’s more versatile than beer?  If you have a "beer belly," you are not alone. It seems beer drinkers across the globe have a tendency to grow bellies especially as they get older, and especially if they are men.Not all beer drinkers have them some teetotalers sport large ones.So what really causes men, and some women, to develop the infamous paunch?

It’s commonly assumed that there is a direct correlation between the amount of beer men consume and the size of their beer bellies, but how accurate is this perception? Is there really a link between beer and beer bellies?READ ON and know the truth
Despite the common ”beer belly” moniker, excess belly flab is not always caused by swigging too many pints of liquid bread. Beer, at around 140 calories per 12-ounce bottle, is high in calories, and frequent imbibing can result in the extra calories that lead to a distended waistline. So, in this manner, the answer is yes. However, like fat that appears in other areas of the body, it has more to do with how many overall calories you consume versus how many you’re burning through regular exercise. Your body can’t tell the difference between beer-related calories and extra calories from any other food. So, the answer is also no
Why is fat deposited in the belly?
Calories certainly hold part of the answer, but so does age:metabolism slows down after the age of 35, so you may find that the more calendars you go through, the more trouble you have keeping a trim figure. Another part of the reason has to do with your gender. While most women tend to keep their extra flab on their hips, thighs and buttocks, men commonly store fat around the waist. So, combine your age and gender with an excess of calories, and the result can be a charming pot belly. It’s not necessarily beer but too many calories that can turn your trim waistline into a belly that protrudes over your pants. Any kind of calories -- whether from alcohol, sugary beverages, or over sized portions of food -- can increase belly fat. However, alcohol does seem to have a particular association with fat in the midsection.
"In general, alcohol intake is associated with bigger waists, because when you drink alcohol, the liver burns alcohol instead of fat,"Beer also gets the blame because alcohol calories are so easy to overdo. A typical beer has 150 calories – and if you down several in one sitting, you can end up with serious calorie overload. And don’t forget calories from the foods you wash down with those beers. Alcohol can increase your appetite. Further, when you're drinking beer at a bar or party, the food on hand is often fattening fare like pizza, wings, and other fried foods.

Is belly fat a health risk?
Not only is it an unattractive accessory, belly fat — or visceral fat — is getting extra attention as one of the riskiest kinds of extra flab a person can sport. People with excess belly fat have a tendency to develop nasty conditions such as insulin resistance, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart diseases, and high cholesterol over and above the already increased risk a person receives from other forms of obesity

So you've had a few too many pints and chicken wings over the years, which has led to unwanted belly bulge. How do you undo the damage you've wreaked on your waistline and get rid of that beer belly once and for all?
For starters, it isn't going to be easy. Visceral fat is stubborn and it will take some hard work to make it go away. Your best bet is  Consume fewer calories and start moving your body. Fat-burning, or aerobic, exercise is going to be your biggest ally in the war against the beer belly. Run, walk, swim, bike, play team sports — you can do nearly anything as long as you’re building up a sweat. Try to exercise five times a week for at least 30 minutes each session.
It’s always a good idea to augment fat-burning exercise with strength training, but start slowly and give your muscles a day or two of rest between weight training. Also, no matter what those late-night infomercials tell you, there’s no way to spot-reduce a beer belly into submission. No number of sit-ups is going to give you washboard abs if your stomach is buried under a layer of fat — your muscles will be getting stronger, but they will also be invisible because they’re covered with flab.
If you’re one of the lucky men who have danced through life paunch-free so far, don’t think you’re safe from developing a beer belly. The best way to prevent flab from making a home on your waistline is to live as if you’re trying to get rid of it. Eat healthy foods, stay active and when you indulge in alcohol, do so in moderation. This should go a long way toward making sure the dreaded beer belly stays far away from you.

1. He looks up the movie you've been waiting to see and surprises you with a date night. He might not want to see it, but he knows all the show times in a five mile radius.
2. He wants to please you in bed. Even if he lacks talent in bed, he's making an effort to improve.
3. He doesn't look at his phone when you're around.  Status updates AND FOOTBALL scores can't win out over you. Suppressing the compulsion to check his phone, that's love.
4. He brings you flowers for no reason. Some women think this is tacky. It isn't.
5. He texts you pictures of inside jokes and things that remind him of you. Somehow, he makes grumpy cat memes romantic.
6. He wants you to hang out with his friends. This might be hell for you, but he really wants you around.
7. He tries to hold you while you're sleeping. You might wake up annoyed and sweating, but he just wants to cuddle.
8. He wants to know you got home safe. Don't roll your eyes. There's genuine concern in that "r u home?" text.
9. He cancels plans for you. You take precedent over guy's night and sports schedules.
10. He teases you, in a good way. He can make fun of you in a way that makes you laugh, not in a way that makes you cry quietly in the bathroom later.
11. He remembers every little conversation you've had. That time you rambled about your nail polish preferences? He was paying attention THE WHOLE TIME, and buys you the right ones for your birthday.
12. He compliments you when you're not wearing makeup. Hell, he might not even notice you're not wearing makeup.
13.He replies back instantly to you (And its not always about sex)

14.He knows to TREAT YOU LIKE A LADY-Chivalry is not dead.He opens the car door for you,Walks on the outside of the sidewalk and sheilds you from other unwanted men
15. He thinks your annoying habits are cute. Even the thing where you separate all the foods on your plate with bread so they don't touch.
16. He loves showing off your accomplishments. "This is my girlfriend, she just got her master's and got a job a week later and is so smart and beautiful and it's she great?"
17. He remembers something you mentioned you hated one time, and never does it again. May you never fear sitting on a cold toilet rim in the middle of the night.

Gym Diaries#Etiquette! Dont Be A Jerk In The Gym

Oh my lord. That's what I was saying to myself at the gym the other day as I got on a treadmill and noticed the puddles of sweat left behind from a previous exerciser. Sigh.Yikes.Not just that a girl chattering away on her cell phone on her so called cardio day on the treadmill. If that's not all I see people flinging weights wildly, dropping heavy weights on the floor, and the words Excuse me,Sorry and Thank you is not applicable anymore....What has the world come to???Rather what has the gym come to?Though there may not be rules posted around the gym for how to act, there are some unspoken rules that all of us should be familiar with, whether we're veteran exercisers or we're just starting out

Clean up After Yourself. My biggest pet peeve is someone who walks away from a machine, leaving a slimy pool of sweat behind. Thanks! Always bring a towel with you and wipe the machines down when you're finished. Most gyms offer wipes or sprays strategically located around the gym for this purpose.
SHUT UP-Most gym-goers I know have seen That Guy. The one pumping away on the treadmill while screaming into a cell phone. Unless it's an emergency, save your chat-time for after your workouts.
Share. If you're doing multiple sets on a machine, it's common courtesy to let others work in during your rest periods. This may not always be practical, but offer to share whenever you canCover it up. I respect the confidence that allows some people to walk around the locker room naked. Know what else I respect? Seeing you wearing a towel after your shower to keep the locker room a comfortable place for everyone.
Don't hog the treadmill. Many gyms have time limits on cardio machines during busy hours. There's a reason for that, and you should obey it. And no, throwing your towel over the display doesn't fool me.
Chivalry. My next biggest pet peeve is the person who leaves six million pounds on the leg press machine. I don't know, maybe I look stronger than I am. The point is, always put your weights back when you're finished.

Don't drop or throw the weights down. That's a great way to break a toe--yours or someone else's. If you're using a heavy weight, have a spotter nearby to help you.

Celeb Talk-Former Miss California World Jennipha-Lauren Nielsen Shares Her Style/Fitness Secret With Bhumicka.com

She is an advocate on behalf of the United Nations and serves as the Commissioner of Pasadena, California. Her focus is gender equality, universal education, and rights for people with disabilities. She has also helped found the ONE World Project and hopes to open a chapter in India.
Meet the very beautiful and vibrant Jennipha-Lauren Nielsen as she talks exclusively to Bhumicka.com about being fit and making a difference.
Jennipha-Lauren Nielsen

Tell us what does fitness mean to you
Fitness is part of my perfect formula. As a Miss California, I was shown the importance; beauty, brains and determination that plays in a girl’s success. Studies have shown people who workout regularly are better able to manage stress and are better organized to seek out success.

Tell us a bit about your journey so far
I have been small, I’ve been large.... 100 KG!! So no girl can say I don’t understand. You can be your best or worst but is always up to you. In my 20s my intestines developed a condition, where I gained 50 kg. They were able to fix the problem but it was up to me, to lose the weight. Today I am grateful for the experience.
With Friend Aamer
Your fav workout?
I developed a workout routine that utilizes my 20+ years of ballet with a blend of light weight training and balance work. My tools of choice are the BOSU, stretch-bands and two 8 pound weights. Starting with yoga/ballet stretches sometimes for an hour. Concentrated stretching is a workout, don’t be fooled, expect to sweat. Flexibility is so important as you age. Have you seen your grandparent unable to bend low, struggle to pick things up and tie their shoes….. its about maintaing flexibility. As I age it may take longer but my flexibility is still there because NEVER STOP STRETCHING! Using the BOSU, I use my core and do a lot of balance work . This is great for women looking to get and KEEP a strong, lean body. Focusing on the skeletal muscles is so important. You will find your entire life changes the stronger and healthier your body is. I walk taller, straighter when I work out. My shoulders naturally fall back slimming my entire figure.
Tell us what you love wearing when you workout
My UNIFORM ! Exercise pants, tank and trainers. I really feel wearing proper workout clothes helps to keep my head in the activity. Putting on my uniform, my whole self prepares for the activity I’m about to take on.
What motivates you
Personally I found using exercise as the “reward", is a great way to look at it. Get my project done, clean the house or finish at the office and hit the gym! I’ve developed such a positive connotation to going to the gym, my mood is elevated just thinking about it…. like ice cream !
Your role model is?
My auntie and father. Earliest memories watching my aunt putting her hair up in hot rollers while working out on a stationary bicycle. She is now in her early 70s and is mistaken for a woman in her 40s. She showed me that if you care for your mind, body and soul… as your temple it should be treated that way.

Give us some advice on fitness and eating habits
When it comes to food, I don’t mess around. My basic diet is meat and vegetables. I eat lots of cheese and fruits that are low in sugar. Avoiding breads, rice, noodles as it can cause to much yeast to form in the body. BUT… now that is a big but, if I feel like a muffin, toast, chips, chocolate, cake or anything else… I EAT IT. Eating healthy in my book isn’t able denying yourself but remembering treats are treats not stables!

Stress is a big factor what can you say about it
Working out to Sade, is great ! It calms my mind and I feel sexy moving to it. Her songs keep a good beat and my motions are fluid. I keep headphones in, once she sings I close my eyes and I am in my own world. It is a sensual experience. Hear good things, see good things and feel good. In my line of work I’ve seen the worst of the world and the best as well. Life is about balance, be like the surfer… find yours and ride the wave.
Your fav dessert
For me its always fruit and not just for dessert, love it all year round. Traveling internationally my work allows me to experience foods I might never have experienced. Partial to exotic fruits.

Give our readers especially the women out there some beauty tips Lots Sleep, water and low stress, make a point to be grateful. Living in grace is the key to a long and happy life. Its amazing what wonderful things are in store. Live with an open heart and don’t be afraid to be the first to smile.
